Do not confuse it with Lemon Verbena or Sweet Verbena, Aloysia citriodora. Moreover, the Chinese origin of this essential oil contains almost 15% limonene, an ingredient that moderates the irritant potential of citrals in case of prolonged use.

• This essential oil is pure and therefore powerful.
• This essential oil can be used in cooking if it is diluted beforehand according to the recommendations, dispersed in a fat (oil, dairy), alcoholic or syrupy substance (honey, syrup). It cannot be ingested pure.
• Do not use during pregnancy or breast-feeding, nor for young children.
• This essential oil has a tendency to irritate when used pure, so be sure to dilute it sufficiently for skin use.
• Avoid contact with the eyes.
• Risk of allergy (limonene, linalool, geraniol and citral): take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use).
• Keep out of reach of children.
